JOB DESCRIPTION
The Systems Support Technician will report to the Chief of Operations. Job responsibilities include level-one and level-two desktop and server support (remote and onsite), workstation and server installations, performance of technical projects, documentation and other job-related duties as required.
The position is full time salaried.
We are seeking people wishing to grow with the company, who are able to adapt to multiple roles and who require little immediate supervision, but can work as part of a team.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelor's Degree
-Minimum TWO (2) years IT / Help Desk experience
-Ability to communicate well with clients and colleagues
-Ability to work independently and with attention to detail
-Ability to document and work in an organized manner
-Self-motivated & punctual with a proactive, resourceful approach to problem solving
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
-Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (2000/XP/Windows7)
-Microsoft Office Suite and its included applications
-Apple OS X
-Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2000/2003/2010)
-Active Directory and Exchange (2000/2003/2008)
-TCP/IP, DNS and WINS
-Network Devices (wireless devices, switches, routers, firewalls)
-Mobile Devices (iPhone, Blackberry (BIS and BES), Droid)
-Peripheral Configuration (Printers, Cameras, Scanners, etc...)
RECOMMENDED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
-MS SQL Administration
-Digital Imaging
-Antivirus/Anti-Spyware products
-RAID Controllers
-Unix/Linux is a plus
-Citrix Solutions
Cyber City will provide in-depth, hands-on training on desktop, server and networking technologies, but a solid technical background is required as specified above.
COMPENSATION
Compensation will be based on level of experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, and paid time off.
SCHEDULE AND LOCATION
The schedule for this position is daytime Monday - Friday. Some flexibility with regard to work hours is required. The position is located in our main office in midtown Manhattan.
